Las Positas Restorative Justice Scholarship

This scholarship is for a student with a minimum 2.0 GPA and must submit a response to the supplemental essay regarding Restorative Justice.

Supplemental Essay: The internationally accepted definition of “Restorative Justice,” created by Tony F. Marshall, is “a process whereby all the parties with a stake in a specific offence come together to resolve collectively how to deal with the aftermath of the offence and its implications for the future.” Las Positas has sought to foster programs that allow its students and the college itself to progress toward a shared resolution of the offences to which we have been subjected and to which we have subjected others. Please describe the ways in which your current and future educational efforts are or will be an act of restorative justice for yourself and the communities to which you do and will belong.
