The Barbara Fracisco Mertes Memorial Performing Arts Transfer Scholarship

Dr. Barbara Mertes (1930-2015), a life-long Livermore resident, was a key force in establishing Las Positas College and served on the college district board of trustees for fourteen years. She had a passion for the arts and wrote and directed many theatrical productions, winning three Northern California Emmy Awards. The LPC Performing Arts Center was named in her honor.
