Professor Arthur L. Deleray Memorial Scholarship

The Professor Arthur L. Deleray Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Art Deleray, a beloved chemistry professor whose passion for teaching and commitment to his students left an indelible mark on Las Positas College. Throughout his 32-year career, Art’s enthusiasm for chemistry, physics, and math inspired countless students. He is remembered for developing a rigorous General Chemistry program and fostering a love for science in all who entered his classroom.

Beyond his academic contributions, Art was known for his deep devotion to family, his sons Mark and Michael, and his unwavering support for their education and sports. He was also committed to global philanthropy, maintaining a lasting relationship with a family in Vietnam whom he helped sponsor, encouraging them to pursue education and entrepreneurship.
