Nissen Technical Student Scholarship Fund

Nissen Technical Student Scholarship Fund

The Nissen Technical Student Scholarship honors the legacy of Charles and Anna Nissen, lifelong residents of the Livermore Valley who made lasting contributions to their community. Charles Nissen, a generous philanthropist, was particularly committed to supporting education and healthcare initiatives, while his wife, Anna, was from a family that ran the well-known Holdner Dairy. Together, they were deeply rooted in the local ranching community and believed in the importance of helping others achieve their potential.

This scholarship is dedicated to supporting students from the Tri-Valley who are pursuing technical education in fields such as Auto Technology, Computer Networking, Design Technology, Electronics, Horticulture, Industrial Technology, Laser Technology, Welding, Radiation Safety, and Vacuum Technology, among others. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students entering these hands-on, career-oriented programs that play a critical role in the local economy.

By honoring the Nissens’ legacy, the scholarship helps ensure that students pursuing careers in technical fields have the support they need to succeed. The Nissen Technical Student Scholarship reflects the Nissens’ belief in the value of practical, skilled education and empowers the next generation of students to contribute to their communities and industries.
