Florendo T. Maduli Scholarship

Florendo T. Maduli Scholarship

Edralin Maduli established this scholarship in memory of his father Florendo Mr. “Ed” Maduli, a dedicated community leader, educator, and veteran who deeply impacted the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District and the broader Tri-Valley community. Ed served as a trustee on the CLPCCD Board, representing the Tri-Valley region, from 2016 until his passing in June 2022. He was elected to the board for two terms, serving twice as president, and was known for his commitment to educational excellence and his service to the community.

A retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, Ed Maduli’s distinguished military career spanned over 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force, Ed supported the operational development of the F-117 Stealth Fighter, contributing his expertise to one of the most groundbreaking advancements in military aviation. Following his military service, Ed transitioned to community college administration, where he made lasting contributions to the field, including as Vice President of Business Services at Las Positas College in Livermore. He also served in various leadership roles across multiple community colleges, with a focus on administrative services and supporting student success.

Ed earned several degrees throughout his career, including his associate’s degree from Hartnell College, a bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly, a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, and another master’s from Golden Gate University. He was also pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California at the time of his passing.

This scholarship was established to honor Ed’s dedication to education, leadership, and his service to both the military and the community. Through this scholarship, Ed’s legacy continues to support students who demonstrate a commitment to achieving their academic and professional goals, following the example of Ed’s own lifelong pursuit of education and service.
